When is handwritten more suitable than typed? A letter over WhatsApp message? Best ask Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: the English model, actor and entrepreneur recently introduced Mémoire, a lifestyle brand she co-founded. The precise edit of products includes photo frames, journals and luggage tags cut from leather, while a scented candle comes in a hand-blown glass vessel. Then there is stationery: a quartet of sets comprise correspondence cards and matching lined envelopes made from fine Crane cotton paper. Stationery can be further personalised with initials or a full name rendered in the business’ own Mémoire Muse calligraphy script.

‘Writing letters has always felt like one of the kindest and most personal ways to express emotion,’ says Huntington-Whiteley. ‘In a world where so much communication happens instantly, receiving a letter shows a moment of time spent and consideration that is hard to replicate in a text message. For me, expressing gratitude through a handwritten note feels less fleeting and more meaningful, creating a lasting connection between the writer and the recipient.’

    GOOD TO KNOW

Mémoire’s offering is grouped into four creative worlds. Among them are High Castle, Love Birds and Secret Garden. Seen above is a correspondence card and envelope from Huntington-Whiteley’s Glass Lake chapter, its lining printed with an artwork finished by the studio of French painter and sculptor Pierre Kittler.
