These days it is easy to spend hours on the internet researching supplements and start believing that the key to perfect health is ingesting hundreds of different powders, pills and tinctures, each promising incredible benefits – boundless energy, youthful skin, perfect sleep, eternal calm – through a magical blend of ingredients that will transform your life. But a new breed of beauty brands is now entering the market that wants to eliminate the glut of these supposed miracle cures by stripping down your daily needs to a simple, highly effective daily regime.

First on the list is Nære, an all-in-one collagen and supergreens supplement you simply mix into water and drink in the morning. Designed to provide all the cellular nourishment you need for improved collagen production, skin hydration, energy and gut health, the green drink has a pleasant, fruity taste and claims to ensure results you’ll see on skin fast. According to co-founder Nadia Forde, the brand’s singular product, Nectar 01, was born out of frustration with the supplement market. ‘When we looked at the wellness space, we didn’t see clarity, we saw noise. Maintaining a supplement routine had become overwhelming, almost like a second job. That’s why we created Nære. We wanted something that simplified that experience without compromising on ingredient quality and integrity.’

Another new brand in the category is Inora, a line of three liquid supplements to be taken morning, afternoon and night to improve energy, immunity and sleep. Like Nære’s founders, Inora’s Sofia Downing was inspired to create the brand after becoming fed up with the abundance of products promising drastic results, but delivering on very few.

‘Despite taking countless capsules, powders and sachets, I often found the experience inconvenient, uninspiring and disconnected from modern life,’ she says. ‘I wanted something that felt effortless to take, delivered ingredients in a format designed for absorption and was grounded in scientific credibility.’ Developed alongside a medical advisory board of doctors and researchers, the brand’s tinctures are formulated with ingredients such as lion’s mane extract, botanical antioxidants, cherry extract and vitamin B12, and are designed to simply be dropped into the mouth with a pipette at the designated times of day.

Finally, there is Alexis Smart’s Flower Remedies, which are not new to the market, nor are they traditional ‘supplements’ per se, but their effects are so lauded and their method so simple that they deserve to be highlighted. For years, Smart’s flower remedies have a been a mainstay in the routines of thousands, including celebrities like Emma Roberts, Isamaya Ffrench and more, who swear by the powerful results of the brand’s wildflower blends, created by Smart to address everything from rosacea to better focus and self-love.

Flower essences are not a New Age or “hippie” therapy. They were discovered by a medical doctor who saw, early on, what conventional medicine is finally recognising. There is a “mind/body connection"

Smart blends the remedies in California, following the principles of the father of floral remedies, Dr Edward Bach, a British physician who discovered the healing powers of these tinctures after working as a doctor during World War One. Like Bach’s, Smart’s remedies are guided by the belief that homeopathic remedies can balance our emotions and, in doing so, improve our overall health.

For those who are doubtful about how such remedies can impact physical and emotional health, Smart says that, ‘Flower essences are not a New Age or “hippie” therapy. They were discovered by a medical doctor who saw, early on, what conventional medicine is finally recognising. There is a “mind/body connection”.’ Smart recommends taking only one remedy at a time, choosing the one that most aligns with your current needs.
